Residential Dancing Weekend – 15th to 18th February 2019
Our move to the Victoria Hotel at Torquay last year proved to be very successful, unfortunately they are unable to accommodate us again this year so we will be going to the Best Western Livermead Cliff Hotel, which is situated on Torquay’s seafront, Torquay Road, TQ2 6RQ. Livermead Cliff has ample free onsite parking, is a level walk to the Town Centre and Marina. Private access steps to the secluded Livermead Sands. Much of our programme will remain unchanged and will follow the pattern of previous years. Please refer to the programme.
The weekend will cost £159.50 to members, and £162.50 for non-members and includes dinner, bed, and breakfast for two nights, plus a Sunday light buffet lunch. There is an option to stay Sunday night dinner bed and breakfast departing on Monday at an additional £45 per person. Your accommodation is in en-suite rooms with colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Single rooms are limited, they will incur a single occupancy charge of £15 per night which also applies to the extra night. We would advise people to share if possible.
This year our musicians will be Fresh Aire, a well known local band. Eileen on accordion. Mike with Flute, whistles & Lowland pipes and Graham on his Bodhran. We are also delighted to have Ted Farmer and Jane Thomas with us once again to lead the calling.
Willand Folk Dance Club and individual personnel of the organising committee cannot accept any financial responsibility in the event of matters outside of their control, or The Livermead Hotel being unable to adhere to their contract. Please make your own arrangements for holiday insurance cover, as there is none included.
Admission to all the dances is included within the price, as is the tea and coffee served during the morning session intervals. A non-refundable deposit of £30.00 per club member or £33.00 per non-club member is required by 1st December and final payments by 19th January. Booking forms with payment may be handed in at any club event or pop them in the post to Barbara Farmer. If you are unable to keep your booking, please let Barbara know as soon as possible as we may be able to offer your place to someone else. Cheques should be made payable to Willand Folk Dance Club. A receipt to acknowledge your booking will only be issued if a stamped addressed envelope is enclosed with your booking.
